Check Engine Light
It came on as I headed to church this morning. Ugh. It gave me such an uneasy feeling, like I was going to break down on the side of the road. I felt a sense of urgency to get to the shop, but I had to go to church.
I naively thought I could turn the car off, then on again and the light might go off. No luck. It needs to go to the shop.
As I drove on, nervously glancing at all gauges, I thought again, "Oh that my soul would have a check engine light!"
That way I could see what needs to be tended to by the master mechanic. That way I would know I need to go to His shop. Perhaps he granted me that as I reflected on my anxious thoughts.
