Abuse

For those not in service at Perimeter today, I wanted to share a bit about a video we played. I had the honor of interviewing three women who had suffered abuse from their husbands. It was a hard interview to do. It is hard to believe that men abuse women but I can tell you for sure: men abuse women. It is real and it happens.

The good news is there is help and hope in Christ and through the church. We are hoping men and women will reach out to the church this week and seek the healing power that only comes from Jesus.

Would you pray right now for us as you read this? Pray that men would see the train wreck their lives have become. Pray that women will be brave enough to seek counsel. Pray that we as a church will have the sensitivity to help, to love well and to be a sign that points to Christ.

We know it is not easy, and the road is long and hard, but we are committed to walk along with people as Jesus does us. We want to have a healthy community for His glory and our joy.
