UK Bombs
Well, you may have read about it by now. Two cars in London and one in Scotland crashing into the airport in Glasgow. I am convinced it will not end. There is always something that someone is upset enough about to be violent.
We are taking the first Worship and Arts team to London in July (three weeks from now). Worship Team A and nine ballet dancers. Please pray for us. As a team, we talked about it a bit last night. When I was in London a few years ago terrorists had just bombed the tube (July 7th) . They tried again while we were there and the detonators failed to go off.
That day we were at the museum and we heard the news. We had to get back to our hotel to get to the train station. How? By riding on the part of the tube that was not closed down. A bit nervous, but we rode the tube. Christians riding on the part of the tube that was not closed down yet. Strange that we would do that, and it caused me to think then, as it does now.
Our religion is mysterious. It is spiritual in nature. Words can not always describe actions.Christ leads us in triumphal procession. So we will go. London needs the gospel. Londoners need people like us, who come and die to self, to serve and give and love. Our religion is different, we will not be violent. Just the opposite. We will sweetly share the love of Christ in song and dance and prayer and speech and actions.
I believe He will show up again in the great cities of the world as we go. As we give. As we love without fear. As we ride the part of the tube that is still open. Mind the gap. Blessings
