The Story Continues

Well, we start off in Acts this week. The series will run for many weeks. Great book and alot to learn. It really is the continuation of what Jesus did. Luke says as much. The gospel of Luke told some of the things Jesus did and Acts is really a continuation. I encourage you to read ahead, chapter one anyway and as you do, remember it is not just history, it is God entering time and space.

Aaron Shust will be with us (Laura and Eric get a week off!) and I am sure it will be a great time of worship.

As you prepare to come, could you reflect on the fact that Jesus is still doing? It is still His continuing story. In fact we could write a sequel to Acts. (Maybe a better title would have been Acts of Jesus.) So we could write Acts of Jesus II, Acts III etc. Uninspired if we wrote it of course, but the story of what Jesus is doing continues. Maybe we are in Acts of Jesus XV now.

In this segment, Jesus continues to work. And I do not mean in general, I mean between now (Friday night) and Sunday. He is doing His will, He is working out His decree and He is loving His subjects. The kingdom grows. He reigns. The story continues........as we worship well.
