Hard Week? Sit by the Fire!

It has been a hard week. I am sensing spiritual warfare. "What?" you say. Yes, it is real. I would probably like to blame more on it then I do, but I do know our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world. The Apostle Paul tells the Ephesians about how to put on the full armor of God and to be alert and to keep on praying. Ephesians 6 is a good read.

So, we in worship would covet your prayers this weekend. We rehearsed last night and it was hard, we are thinking and praying today and it is hard. We long to help others worship Him well and we know that the evil one would be against us. We also know that He who is in us is greater then he who is in the world, so we are confident.

Maybe you have a situation in your life this week that is hard. No choice is comfortable. It may seem like any way you turn there is downside, potential for hurt feelings and the possibility not getting it right. I would love to assure you as I assure us, God is looking at the heart. Did you pray, did you seek counsel, did you love others well and above all did you seek to glorify Him above all things? If so be at peace and enjoy as you go forward. (It may still be a flop:)

So I ecncourage you to come, worship with us. We are going to ask the fire of the Holy Spirit to fall down on us and change us. To sweeten our spirits and to encourage our souls while at the same time confirming in our minds the depth of our failure. It will be good because He will be there. And he loves people like us who love to try to worship well. Blessings
