Steve Brown

Well, our good friend, older brother and teacher Steve Brown will be with us this weekend. I just love him because he encourages me.

A freind of mine said last time Steve was here he happened to run into him in the hall. My friend asked, "Steve why do your sermons convict me so?" Without stopping Steve said, "Cause you're a sinner."

Steve kept on walking and over his shoulder, he said, "And so am I"

That sums it up pretty good. We are sinners in need of a savior. I know today, I need to remember that. Not the sinner part, that was pretty evident, but the savior part. Man do I need grace so I can forgive, repent and hear the voice of God whispering in my ear, "I love you, quit acting like I don't. Your identity is in me. Quit looking to other people for a sense of worth or worthlesness"

So, I will be with Steve this weekend. And I sure will "think about that."
