Miss E Gilbert

Well I may get in trouble for this because I have not asked permission yet. It is just so good I can not wait and I keep forgetting to ask Eric or Shea.

Sunday I am down in the music room towards the end of the second service and Eric is leading worship. We can hear him on the close circuit TV. Miss E and her mom are walking through the room (I think Mrs G had left her keys) and on the TV we hear Eric singing "All other ground is sinking sand..."

Miss E (as she is walking along behind her mom) says/asks, "All other ground is sinking sand?" To which her mother replies, "Yes, all other ground is sinking sand." That is priceless. It was a good question, and the way she asked it made me think she thought all other ground is sinking sand, she just wanted to make sure that the other ground was not earthly sand but anything that is not the solid rock.

That question has stuck in my mind so thanks young lady Gilbert. "All other ground is sinking sand?" Yes. "The ground I stand on when I try to do it in my own power?" Yes. The ground I stand on called my ego? How about the ground of my accomplishments, or network, or skill set? It is all sinking sand. So Miss Emma, you and I and others including your mom, dad and siblings stand on Christ the solid rock. All other ground is sinking sand. Thanks for reminding me and I pray young lady you will often remember it. I get a sense you will remind others like me as the Holy Spirit uses you to glorify Him. (and thanks Mrs G..you make the Deuteronomy text come alive!)
