Wedding

We went to a wedding tonight. My ex-Ministry Associate. What a delight and joy to see a couple so happy and anticipatory. Dorothy and I are coming up to our 25th anniversary. What a joy and a delight to be a couple who are so happy and anticipatory.

You probably know all the symbolism of the wedding ceremony; Christ and the bride etc. The covenant. The ring that "has no beginning or end." The bible does talk alot about marriages and wedding feasts. I am sure that there is much more there then what I understand.

One thing was clear tonight; the groom had his eye on the bride. The community had their eyes on the bride. The father had his eyes on the bride. But the groom made his vows first, put the ring on her finger first, leaned in to kiss her first.
