It is a small world after all

It really is a small world after all. I mean the ride at Disney World Magic Kingdom. I am sure many of you have ridden it and many more know that it is a boat ride though different “countries” from England to Russia and Japan to Australia. The characters are dressed up in native costumes smiling, dancing and singing, “It’s a small world after all.” I imagine that just by me saying “It’s a small world after all,” the song is now stuck in your head. Studies have shown it takes an average of three and a half hours before it will stop playing, unless you start singing, “Doe a deer a female deer, ray a drop of golden sun……..,” So you can pick your poison.

Anyway, at the end of the ride, all the characters from the different cultures are dressed in white and together they sing, “It’s a small world after all” Harmony, unity, peace on earth and goodwill toward all men!

There is much truth in “It’s a small world” There is not much difference between Eskimos and Spaniards. People are people and they have desires for basic needs and wants. Globalization has leveled the playing field and Eskimos can now communicate with Spaniards. It really is a small world.

Unfortunately, “It’s a Small World” does not give us answers to questions like, Why do people suffer? Why is there hate in the world? Why would something like what is happening in Darfur even happen? What about sickness and the death of children? And incest and abuse? And terrorists who claim Islam? And the list goes on. We get no help from “It’s a Small World”

We only get help when we profess “It's a God World.” He will twist the oak, execute the decree, govern all his creatures and all their actions and declare the temperament of the day. He will also tenderly love and restore and reclaim that which is His and He will draw the elect together to sing as he places white robes on them, "Peace on earth, goodwill toward men!"
