Unwritten

Natasha Bedingfield sings it:

"Feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you, only you can let it in. No one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips. Drench yourself in words unspoken, live your life with arms wide open, today is where your book begins; the rest is still unwritten"

Yes, today is the first day of the rest of your life. (That is for you old timers.)

So, what do you think? Are you staring at a blank page before you? What does "life ahead" look like? Bedingfield says, maybe you need to open the dirty window and let the sun illuminate a bit. Good idea I think. Eternity is written on our hearts. We are not a blank page in that sense. But, God has given us free will and He wants us to draw a picture, to develop a vision. Even to have a shared vision as the Church.

So, even though you may feel "unwritten" I want to encourage you today to pick up a pen, pencil or crayon and draw. It is ok if you color outside the lines a bit. The creative "life" process is healthy and can sometimes be messy, but it is worth it. And don't forget to open the window. Let the Son illuminate for you. The rain is cool and refreshing; maybe it is time to feel it on your face. Worship Him Well!
