Adoration Muslims and Christians
It seems that some Muslims revere the name of their prophet and god in a strong way. You may have read about protests over others using their names or creating pictures of them in recent years. The devout muslim holds the name on high and challenges others to do the same. I am not making a comment here on the rightness of methodology, just a comment for the sake of getting us thinking about how we revere the name of Jesus. How we adore Him.
The Latin word for adore comes from ad (to) and ore (mouth). The idea being that the servant would put the hand of the master to his mouth and kiss it or even more reverentially the servant would kiss his own hand and wave it at the master.
If He is the one really fully worthy, then when speaking of Him it should be in an adoring way. Any other type of talk is inappropriate. Job and his friends learned the lesson. Job said it well. "Surely I spoke of things I did not understand" Then he prayed.
