Poison Ivy

Everyone knows what it is. Bad stuff. Painful. It comes back every year in my back yard. The course of medicine is to spray the dickens out of it with heavy duty poison ivy killer. But you can not just do it once. You have to hit it hard and hit it often. Be consistent. I did that last year and guess what? It came back. So I am in the spraying zone this week.

As I was spraying, I was thinking of sin. Bad stuff. Painful. It comes back every year in my heart. The course of medicine? Identify where the weeds are. Ask the Holy Spirit to spray the dickens out of them; out of you. You have to hit hard though, and often. Sin grows rapidly. Be consistent. So I encourage you to get in a spraying zone. What is that? Present yourself to Him, ask Him to show you the sin and then repent. Say you are sorry and ask Him to wash you and fry the sin. Then look for signs of new growth. Healthy growth of good fruit and growth of poison ivy. Worship Well
