Well, he may be one of the most prolific songwriters ever. Some of you may have watched American Idol tonight. They sang his songs. What creativity. Like great songwriters, he asks deep questions. He tries to pull back the veil and find real answers to life's tough questions.

In "How can you mend a broken heart?" he cries out for answers and help:

"And how can you mend a broken heart? How can you stop the rain from falling down? How can you stop the sun from shining? What makes the world go round? How can you mend this broken man? How can a loser ever win? Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again."

Amazing lyrics and melody. Makes me want to get a "Greatest Hits." As I reflected a bit, I thought "Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again."

Only Christ can fully mend my heart. Only the Holy Spirit can give me the life I need. Maybe tonight you are asking the impossible questions of stopping rain, the sun and the world. It is good to ask those questions. And find out no one can solve the problems. Except Him.
