Waiting Uncrowned
As I spent time with some followers of Jesus Friday night it occured to me that Jesus has more humility then me. On one hand you might say, "Of course RS, he has more of everything then you , except sin"
True. But humility? Has He not been exalted and does He not sit at the right hand of the Father? "He who humbles himself will be exalted" He humiliated Himself even to death on a cross and He was raised up by the Father.
If you are a bit mystified, so am I and here is why: He has not returned. So in one sense he has not been fully exalted. When He does return, everyone will confess that he is Lord. He will be worshipped fully by His followers and we will cast our crowns before Him. He will be exalted.
Until then He waits, patiently. Imagine the King of the universe waiting for His due. He is not antsy. He is not asking the Father, "When will I be fully exalted?" He waits and He intercedes and He knows when that day will come. I think, when he does come, He will still be more humble then us. He will still be a servant to all. And we will worship Him as we are overwhelmed by His love.
