JFK
I remember being around 7 years old (I am 50 now) and my uncle taking me out for the day. I do not recall him saying where were going. But we ended up at a place where there were lots of people. A crowd lining the road on both sides. I do not remember the details, but I recall the crowd all looking in one direction and someone saying, "Here he comes!" It was the President of the United States.
I think I caught a glimpse of him as his motorcade sped by, but what I most remember was the crowd. How they cheered; how they waved; the excitement was electric and tangible. I felt it and I knew that the man in that car, was honored, loved and respected. After he passed by the crowd dispersed, satisfied that they had caught a glimpse.
Daniel saw the Lord coming towards the Ancient of Days, and all power, glory, honor and rule was given to Him. Moses caught a glimpse too as did Abraham and others. When we worship together He is in our midst. Physically seeing does not matter. The King has come, is coming and will come again. I pray that as we worship corporately we would sense the Lord is with us and that He is worthy of honor, love, respect and more. And when we disperse......, that we would say we had caught a glimpse and were satisfied.
