Liturgy June 23 - 24
Call to worship
Ps 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.
Invocation
“Lord we do not want to wait, and we find ourselves more and more impatient. Perhaps today we will find a new way to live as we come to worship you. We don’t want to be stuck. So we are crying out to you. We are here and we are going to wait as patiently as we can for you to come and put a new song in our mouths. We want to trust you. Come. We invite You to come as we sing You are worthy of praise”
